Nov 13 Christmas Decorating In The Great Room

Thank you for joining me today. I’m so excited to share with you how I did my Christmas decorating in the great room! At the end of this blog there are links to see my friends Christmas decorations; I know you won’t want to miss that!

My friends and I did a partnership with Balsam Hill, with beautiful results! I love their gorgeous decor. Now let’s look at Christmas trees and decorations!

I have never lost my love for Christmas. I still have the same enthusiasm I had when I was a kid. It is such a magical and beautiful time of the year, full of joy and hope!

Last year I started to simplify my belongings, which means I got rid of a lot of my Christmas decorations. I saved the family ornaments and only the decor pieces I truly love.

The new kitchen gave me a chance to have something I’ve always wanted space for, a Christmas tree!

This beauty is from Balsam Hill. I couldn’t be happier with it. The Alpine Balsam Fir has a rustic appearance and the lifelike foliage reminds me of mountain evergreens. I adore the festive fairy lights.

I placed the tree in a basket. Keeping with the natural look I covered the base with sheet moss. No ornaments required. Maybe next year I might hang my delicate ornaments on it; they would sparkle on this tree.

Maybe I’m attracted to frosted trees since we don’t get snow on the coast in California. A frosted tree and fireplace give me all the cozy ambiance I’m looking for at Christmas.

This gorgeous tree is a stunner at Balsam Hill. The realistic placement of the layered branches creates the casual beauty I love. It’s called Yukon Spruce. I’m happy that it has a slender silhouette so I can tuck it in near the fireplace.

This tree comes with micro LED lights; no more untangling string lights to trim the tree! These lights create the perfect warm and cozy atmosphere when we gather at night in the great room to watch Christmas movies.

Balsam Hill’s ornaments are gorgeous! They add so much beauty to my Christmas decor. They cast a beautiful shimmer in the lights.

When it gets dark and cold, I appreciate the effect of twinkle lights and candlelight. It really brightens the room and my mood. Cozy textures layered on the sofa and I’m ready for snuggle weather.

I had to place all my candles up high this year where Coconut (my puppy) can’t reach them!

I would probably layer a wool rug on top of this sea grass area rug, but with the new puppy…that’s not going to happen this year :)

I enjoy getting up early on the weekends before the holidays. I turn on the Christmas lights and make coffee. I savor that quiet time. Coconut loves a game of fetch as I sip my coffee.
