Must-Haves for a Busy Entertaining Season in a Small Space

Must-Haves for a Busy Entertaining Season in a Small Space

If you're like me you are getting your home ready for a busy entertaining season! I have found that there are a few 'must-haves' for successful entertaining - plenty of seating and somewhere to place a glass! If you supply these for your guests you are more than halfway to a great party.

My front room is a small space shared with the entryway. I think small spaces are fabulous for entertaining! The setting tends to feel more intimate which can create more interesting conversations. This space was not being used for parties until I did a little shopping at HomeGoods.

My first challenge was finding a sofa that was small enough to fit. It turns out HomeGoods has all sizes of sofas so that was an easy fix to my size dilemma. They also had beautiful chairs in neutral fabric that I could really use anywhere in my home.

Here is my entryway. Because of its location across from the front room, it is the perfect spot to store additional seating. These stools take up no additional space when slid under the table. They certainly come in handy for extra seating!

With my seating problems solved I decided to concentrate my shopping efforts on tables. Have you ever been a party guest and had no place to set your glass down, felt awkward having to hold it and end up balancing your appetizer plate on top of it? I was able to find various styles of small tables at HomeGoods. A regular-sized coffee table would have been too big for this sofa. Many smaller sized tables has worked out beautifully for this room. Also because of their size they are so easy to pick up and move anywhere I might need them.

Now I will be able to expand my entertaining space to include my front room!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have an enjoyable and busy entertaining season, even if you might have a small space.
